TAFE Queensland South West, Roma Campus Building

Timbury St, Roma, Qld

Project Description:
The Southern Queensland Institute of Tafe Roma Campus upgrade involved the refurbishment of various existing facilities as well as a new administration building. Designed to maximise indirect light and ventilation to internal teaching & administration spaces, the functional plan operates with three narrow East to West running envelopes connected by covered circulation spaces with various amenities and breakout areas for deliberate & fortuitous social interactions on campus.  The buildings form and materials provide an appropriate linear figure to the existing campus and unbroken Roma landscape while supplying durable protection against the harsh climate.
